Summary

Our client, located in the Halton Region, is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their entrepreneurial and dynamic team. The Administrative Assistant will be required to perform an array of administrative duties while covering the reception function and supporting the Human Resources department.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide general company administrative support with a focus on HR
  • As Reception,
    • Courteously receive and screen all in-bound calls, emails, and visitors
    • Coordinate departmental office activities and events
    • Review, evaluate and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail and packages
    • Maintain a professional image and demeanor with all employees, management, executives and visitors at all times
    • Maintain and monitor office supply inventory levels and place orders as required
    • Create, maintain and stock media kits with relevant information
    • Update boardroom schedule and prepare for meetings

Qualifications:

  • Business Administration diploma preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, or relevant role
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Possess high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills

Work Conditions:

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Interacts with public
  • Sitting for long periods
  • Repetitive work
